The sea around Cala Gonone
Some beaches are part of the town itself; coves farther south are reached from the harbour or by trails that require preparation. Here are the practical differences.
Choosing a beach
There is more than one kind of seaside day in Cala Gonone. Village beaches work well for an unplanned day; Cala Fuili marks the end of the coastal road; farther south, travel continues by boat or on demanding hiking routes.

Sos Dorroles stands out for the pink and orange tones of its shore and the limestone wall around it. Towards the harbour, Spiaggia Centrale belongs to Cala Gonone’s historic seafront.

Dark basalt rocks, pale limestone walls and a beach of sand and pebbles. It is reached from panoramic Viale Bue Marino via a short path and steps.
Coast south of town
This is the last cove reachable by road from Cala Gonone. From the end of the road, stone steps descend through Mediterranean vegetation to the beach.

Beyond Cala Fuili
Motorboats, dinghies and coastal services leave Cala Gonone for the Bue Marino Caves, Cala Luna and other Gulf of Orosei coves. Opening dates, itineraries, sea conditions and availability change, so check the official portal and your chosen operator before leaving.
Cala Luna can also be reached on foot from Cala Fuili, but the regional tourism authority describes the trail as difficult and suitable for experienced hikers. It should not be treated as a casual walk to the beach.
